拓宽词汇量，并在背单词时结合单词用法

这一点是不管针对英语听说读写哪方面，我都会放在最前面的最重要也是最有效的一点。哪怕自己的论点、创意或者逻辑都很棒，如果没有足够的英语词汇量，都会缺少工具来写好一篇文章。

很多人在背单词的时候，只是将一个新的单词和它的意思对应在一起，但这样背单词有效性其实并不高。最有效的背单词方法，是在记住单词意思的同时，学习单词的读音和用法。这点对于写作来说特别有效，不然哪怕知道一个单词的用法，不知道如何使用，还是无法将这个新学的单词用到文章中。

有些单词书会在一个单词后面再标注这个单词的其他意思和不通用法，并结合例句给读者参考。如果单词书本身不提供单词的用法和例句，可以自己查字典并记录下来。举一个简单的例子，同样blame这个单词，既可以用作动词，也可以用作名词，用法有blame sb or sth for…，sb is to blame to sth，take the blame…记住每个单词的不同用法可以让背单词事半功倍，丰富自己的写作。

用英文写日记

好像现在有写日记习惯的人越来越少了，但我在中学的时候每天坚持用英文写一小段日记，真的对我的英文写作帮助很大。

这个日记的内容可以很简单，像任何日记一样，就记录一天中发生的事情和自己的一些reflection。

通过每日的写日记练习，可以从很多方面帮助到自己的一个写作：

1）巩固新学的词汇。背过的单词只有被不断的使用之后才会被加深记忆。

2）学习新的词汇。会遇到自己不会描述的地方，这时候通过查阅然后再写进日记里，或帮助你积累许多实用的词汇。

3）加强写作的逻辑和承接。日记看似是简单的“今天先发生了什么再发生了什么”这样的流水式写作，但在描述事件的过程中，自己的叙述能力还是可以锻炼。同时也可以帮助你积累和使用一些承接性的词组，比如afterwards, furthermore, likewise, consequently。

4）学会细化。细化，elaboration，是在写作中更重要的帮助加强自己论点的一部分。通过在日记时反思某件简单的事情对自己的影响、详尽描述自己的感受，可以帮助提升自己细化简单的论点的能力

阅读范文，并总结积累

我在写作文的时候，有时候会自己觉得已经写得挺好了，但得到的成绩却还是不怎么样，这时候我就会很抓狂，想试问苍天：“所以到底怎么样才算高分的文章啊！！！！”

这时候，比问苍天更有效的方法是，参考范文。一篇好的范文可以让你更加清楚怎么样才算一篇好的文章，以便自己下次写作的时候抓住这些点来改进自己的文章。

看论文的时候可以着重观察这几点：

1）结构。这篇文章的结构是否更清晰，比如有更明确的开头-中间段-总结。

2）论点。这篇文章的论点是否更有新意，更引发思考。

3）用词。这篇文章使用的词汇是否更加丰富，比如同样表示“另外”的意思，除了用上最简单的and，这篇文章也许有更多种表达，比如in addition, furthermore, moreover, similarly, besides sth…在看论文的时候，把一些好的组词记下来并整理，可以丰富自己的写作。

4）语法。这篇文章的语法表达是否更丰富和清晰。过于简单的语法在写作中也许得不到高分，但过于复杂的长难句也不适合，太过华丽反而会让读者难以理解。观察论文中用到的一些语法结构和使用频率可以帮助自己拿捏到底用多少从句之类的。

不管是对付中考高写作、托福雅思写作，甚至是大学的学术论文写作，看论文都是很棒的一个选择。比如这学期我在上一堂人类学的课，教授就分享了之前的高分论文给班里人看。所以如果你要找论文来看的话，也可以尝试问问自己的老师~

总结你要准备的考试的写作题目类型

了解考试的写作题型可以帮你缩小你要准备的范围，并且让你的练习更加有针对性。

就拿托福写作来说，它不外乎这么几个题型：

1）支持或反对

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

2）观点的对比

Some people think … is better, but others think … is better, which one do you prefer?

Agree or disagree? XXX is more … than XXX.

题目的主题也基本都围绕：交友沟通，知识经历，工作升职，科技，教育，经济，环境等。

所以在准备某个考试的写作的时候，可以自己总结一些主题和题型，保证自己在练习的时候都有涉及到。

我当时考试前半个月是每周写四篇文章，然后交给朋友和老师修改。考前频繁的练习非常重要。

准备固定搭配和例子

自己总结一些百搭好用的固定搭配，可以增加文章用词的丰富性。可以根据褒义、贬义、中性来整理。

然后可以根据不同的主题整理一些表达，比如针对科技类的题目，我当时整理了这些表达：

最后还可以根据不同主题整理一些例子，来加固自己的论点。这些例子可以是时事新闻、历史故事，或者是个人的经历，让自己写的内容更加饱满。
